In order to implement Jingping Xi’s
spirit of coming to Shaanxi, and implement the spirit of the 14th Party Congress of Shaanxi Province and Xi’an. On March 3, 2023, Academy of Eco
Xi’an held a symposium on regional environmental governance, the meeting was
chaired by Jiudong Zhang, vice president of the Research Institute. Youning Hu Xiaoxiao
Liu and other members of the Institute attended the meeting.
Director Xuejun Wan first conveyed
the deployment of Shaanxi Provincial Department of Ecological Environment for
ecological and environmental protection work in 2023: "We will make new
breakthroughs in Guanzhong's air pollution control, green, low-carbon and
high-quality development, and the construction of the 'Three systems',
consolidate and improve the quality of the water environment, soil environment
and environmental safety, and boost high-quality economic development with
high-level protection of the ecological environment." ; Then, the present
situation of air pollution in major cities of Guanzhong is introduced, and the
necessity and urgency of regional comprehensive treatment are put forward.
President Gao Tianpeng indicated that the Xi 'an Institute of Ecology should
play its role as a think tank, invite decision-makers, experts, scholars and
technicians in environmental governance, discuss solutions to environmental
problems, deepen the battle against air pollution, explore trans-regional
ecological and environmental cooperation mechanisms, jointly promote regional
joint prevention and control, and realize green development.
Later, participants discussed
holding a forum on environmental pollution control, compiling a series of books
on ecological and environmental protection, releasing Xi 'an Ecological and
environmental observation, and students' internship in environmental protection
enterprises.
